Japanese-speaking Content Moderator - Social Media

CloserHire is partnering with a global customer experience provider in Portugal to recruit a Japanese-speaking Content Moderator for a leading international social media platform focused on short-form video content. As a Content Moderator, you will play a critical part in protecting users and maintaining the integrity of one of the most popular video-sharing platforms. You'll be responsible for reviewing user-generated content to ensure it complies with community standards and platform policies. Location: Lisbon, Portugal Language: Japanese Start date: 17/8 Your Role Reviewing videos, images, text, and audio content Identifying and escalating content that violates platform guidelines Ensuring accurate classification and documentation of moderation decisions Handling user-generated reports, appeals, and feedback Collaborating with policy, compliance, and legal teams for complex cases Reporting content trends and contributing to the improvement of moderation processes Adhering to a 24/7 rotating shift schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays) Your Profile Fluency in Japanese (C2 level) and good command of English (B2 or higher) Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently in a structured, fast-paced environment Resilience and professionalism when handling sensitive material Willingness to keep up with frequent updates in policy and procedures Prior experience in content moderation, customer service, or social media is a plus What Is Offered Permanent employment contract (full-time) Holiday and Christmas bonuses paid monthly Private health insurance from day one (including dental care) Daily meal allowance via tax-exempt payment card Modern office in central Lisbon with excellent public transport access Reimbursement for travel expenses (up to €200) #J-18808-Ljbffr CloserHire
