Maintenance Technician

Job Goal: Perform maintenance and repairs that require a general knowledge of maintenance. Ensure clean, sanitary, healthy conditions throughout the facility and grounds. Work cooperatively with students, staff and community.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid Arizona driver's license
• Must pass a background clearance
• Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Electrical experience preferred

Term of Employment: 261 Days; 12 Months

Compensation: Per QCUSD salary schedule for applicable position

Benefits: As per QCUSD District policy

Reports To: Executive Director of Operations and Construction

Hours: 40 hours per week - Monday-Friday

Classification: Hourly, Non-exempt

Performance Responsibilities:

• Perform planned maintenance, and regular servicing on a variety of building systems and equipment which may include but is not limited to water heaters, plumbing fixtures, fire alarm, intercom, lighting and security systems
• Perform general repairs to facilities, including drywall, painting and furniture, fixtures and equipment
• Must document and maintain accurate records for maintenance and equipment repair
• Must be able to perform multiple tasks, be self-motivated, and be responsible
• Maintain familiarity with working from diagrams, blueprints, plans and specifications
• Work independently both from written work orders and from verbal instructions to resolve system problems
• Perform job set-ups including delivering materials to and the clean-up of completed projects
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities
