Role Overview

The Robotics Technician is responsible for the physical tear-down, inspection, analysis, repair support, and re-build of robotics equipment used in development and test activities. This role supports proving grounds and works with engineering and test teams to maintain equipment readiness and identify failure modes. The technician should possess strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform physical tear-down and re-build of robotics equipment, subassemblies, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect components for wear or damage and document findings accurately.
• Support root cause investigations by providing hands-on analysis of mechanical equipment.
• Monitor robotics testing activities and respond to faults or equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and partner with engineers to implement corrective actions.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain robotics hardware, tools, and work areas.
• Assist with assembly, disassembly, rework, and validation of prototype hardware.
• Maintain accurate records of tear-down findings, repairs, and test support activities.
• Follow all safety procedures, standard work, and workplace organization expectations.
• Support continuous improvement activities related to equipment reliability and test efficiency.
