Position SummaryThe General Manager is responsible for leading the overall sales, production, and operational performance and efficiency of the Phoenix Location within a multi-location AVL organization. This role provides both strategic direction and hands-on operational leadership to ensure exceptional execution of multi-disciplined services. This leader plays a critical role in positioning the organization as a preferred provider in the industry and a top employer in the market. Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, manage, and develop cross-functional teams including sales, production, operations, and technical staff in a high-performance culture to ensure alignment with company goalsOversee recruitment, staff development, training, performance management, and compensation planning Operations & Production OversightOversee daily operations in the location and ensure seamless coordination between sales, operations, sales support, warehouse, and technical teamsDrive efficient scheduling, labor utilization, resource allocation, quality standards, and inventory accuracy Strategic Planning & GrowthExecute regional and company-wide strategic initiativesPartner with senior leadership to manage annual budgets and growth plansIdentify opportunities for market expansion, new services, and innovationCollaborate with other locations to share best practices and drive consistency Financial ManagementOversee cost controls and resource investments as agreed by senior management Sales & Client LeadershipBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, venues, vendors, and partnersServe as senior escalation point for client issues and ensure resolutionRepresent the company as a market leader in full-service production and collaborate installation and box sales opportunities with Integration Team Project Execution & Client ExperienceAccountable for full project lifecycle from sales through execution and closeoutEnsure high-quality delivery of projectsMaintain strong client satisfaction, retention, and repeat businessMonitor and improve project profitability and delivery metrics Process Improvement & ComplianceDevelop and implement processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and qualityMonitor KPIs to drive continuous improvementEnsure compliance with safety standards, DOT regulations, and company policiesMaintain facility standards, operational workflows, and technical best practicesEnsure proper handling, maintenance, and deployment of equipment Communication & CollaborationMaintain consistent communication with senior leadership on performance, risks, and opportunitiesCollaborate across regions and functions to drive alignment and operational consistency Qualifications10+ years of leadership experience in general management, operations, or productionStrong experience within AVL, live events, or productionProven ability to lead multi-functional teams in fast-paced environmentsStrong financial, operational, and analytical skillsExcellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneouslyBachelor 's degree or equivalent experienceKnowledge of industry standards, safety practices, and emerging AVL technologies Working ConditionsFast-paced, event-driven environment with variable schedulesRequires flexibility for nights, weekends and peak event seasonsOccasional travel within region and to other company locationsValid driver's license required
