Job Description

Registered Dietitian

Location: Glen Cove, NY

Sign-On Bonus: Currently offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus

Our organization operates a residential treatment facility in Glen Cove, NY, dedicated to adults seeking help for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, or Exercise Addiction. We emphasize restoring nutritional and physiological balance, fostering healthy eating and exercise habits, eliminating detrimental behaviors, and enhancing motivation and engagement in treatment. Our goal is to assist each client in understanding their eating or exercise disorder and its impact on their lives, while also recognizing what is essential for their unique recovery journey.

We are looking for a Full-Time Registered Dietitian to become part of our team. This role is vital within both the leadership and clinical teams, requiring regular collaboration across various disciplines to ensure the best care for our clients. We welcome applications from Registered or Licensure-Eligible Dietitians, making this an ideal opportunity for recent graduates, dietetic interns who have completed accredited programs, and early-career nutrition professionals eligible to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) exam and obtain state licensure.

Our nutrition programming is built on foundational principles of health, liberation from disordered eating behaviors, and a gradual progression towards self-trust and intuitive eating. With this strong base, clients navigate from the initial stages of repairing their relationship with food to later phases of personal growth and recovery.

Our HAES-Informed Nutritional Care Includes:
  • Recognition that healthy individuals come in diverse shapes and sizes
  • Understanding that all bodies deserve nourishment and the experience of satiety
  • A focus on behavior rather than weight
  • Acknowledgment that weight loss efforts are counterproductive for recovery from all eating disorders
  • Accessible kitchens and food environments that resemble a home setting

Salary: $66,300 - $80,000 per year
