Account Manager/Specialty Account Manager - TEPEZZA At Amgen, your work will help make a lasting impact on the lives of patients as we research, manufacture, and deliver innovative medicines. In this vital role you will represent TEPEZZA to physicians and health care professionals, establish product sales, and perform total territory account management. The Specialty Account Manager is responsible for providing account management support to accounts within a designated geography, focusing on the specific needs of those accounts. You will act as the central account manager, driving product demand and coordinating relevant field teams to address account needs. Responsibilities Develop a comprehensive territory business plan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual sales goals established by sales and business unit leadership. Promote TEPEZZA within approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair, and ethical manner consistent with industry, corporate, and regulatory guidelines. Address issues related to access, pull-through, and reimbursement by coordinating with key stakeholders and matrix team members. Build strong customer relationships by understanding their needs and goals and communicating those needs to other team members. Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals. Communicate territory activity accurately and timely as directed by management. Drive product demand among targets through education on disease state and product information. Provide feedback to sales and business unit leadership, colleagues, and other internal departments about changing environment and results. Adhere to the Company’s compliance policies and guidelines, including but not limited to the PhRMA code. Work closely with patient services and market access team members to achieve overall business goals. Coordinate between accounts and relevant Amgen field teams to support the full range of account needs. Educate healthcare professionals and office staff on site of care options. Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed. Manage efforts within assigned promotional and operational budget. Maximize use of approved resources to achieve territory and account level goals. Complete all Company training classes successfully. Complete administrative duties accurately and timely. Act as a contributing member of a high‑performance team. Perform any other tasks and responsibilities requested by the Company. What we expect of you We are looking for a motivated professional with the following qualifications. Basic Qualifications (Account Manager – Level 4) Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device industry, or hospital sales; OR Associate degree and at least 6 years of sales experience; OR High school diploma/GED and at least 8 years of sales experience. Basic Qualifications (Specialty Account Manager – Level 5) Doctorate degree and at least 2 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience; OR Master’s degree and at least 6 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience; OR Associate degree and at least 10 years of collective account management, sales, and commercial experience. Preferred Qualifications Buy‑and‑bill experience with documented success and/or biologic/infusion experience. Sales experience in Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, and/or rare/specialty disease states. Site of care and reimbursement experience. Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks. Proven ability to coordinate across field teams to address full range of account needs. Approximately 80% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Professional, proactive demeanor. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Benefits & Compensation The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $154,736 – $183,900 for Account Manager – Level 4 and $160,000 – $190,000 for Specialty Account Manager – Level 5.
