Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist for an immediate start. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients through assessment and tailored physical therapy interventions.

Position Information

• Department/Cost Center: Physical Therapy
• Number of Openings: 1
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
• Weekend Hours: As needed
• Call Requirements: N/A

Qualifications

• Certifications: Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist and current BLS/CPR certification.
• Experience: Previous experience in various aspects of physical therapy preferred but not required.
• Communication Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

The Physical Therapist will:

• Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients treated by Physical Therapist Assistants and Therapy technicians.
• Assess patient needs to identify appropriate physical therapy interventions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to maintain professional standards and foster interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Observe and evaluate treatment effects, progress towards achieving short- and long-term goals.
• Recommend changes to physician if necessary based on patient evaluation and progress.

Common Diagnosis/Treatment Areas

This role involves working with a wide variety of diagnoses, including:

• Neurological conditions such as CVA, Parkinson's disease, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Orthopedic issues
• Cardiopulmonary conditions
• Amputees and medically complex patients

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.
