Facilities Project Manager

Location: Gridley, IL

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Project Manager to oversee facility operations, maintenance activities, capital projects, renovations, and contractor management at our manufacturing facility in Gridley, Illinois.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both facility management and project execution. Approximately 60% of the role focuses on maintaining and improving facility systems, while 40% focuses on managing facility upgrades, construction projects, vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, compressed air, and water systems
  • Perform facility inspections and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and facility upgrades
  • Manage construction, renovation, and capital improvement projects
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and timelines
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and safety requirements
  • Monitor energy usage and identify efficiency improvements
  • Support installation of new equipment and facility modifications
  • Maintain facility documentation, drawings, and project records
  • Coordinate permitting and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of facilities maintenance, facilities engineering, maintenance management, or related experience
  • 3+ years supporting or managing facility, construction, or capital projects
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, processing, or production environments
  • Experience managing contractors and outside vendors
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utility, and building systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Strong project planning, budgeting, and organizational skills

Preferred

  • Food manufacturing experience
  • Refrigeration system experience
  • CMMS experience
  • Technical certification, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree
