Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for a travel position in the Operating Room at a major healthcare facility. The RN will provide perioperative patient care, assist with surgeries, and ensure compliance with hospital protocols during the 7AM to 7PM shift.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care for surgical patients.
• Assist surgeons and surgical team members during a variety of procedures, including neuro/spine, CVT, ortho, GYN, and robotics surgeries.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain sterile environment throughout procedures.
• Document patient information and surgical details accurately within the Meditech EMR system.
• Support unit policies, including call requirements of 1-2 nights and 1-2 weekends per month.
• Maintain and troubleshoot OR equipment, staying current with new technology and updates.

Qualifications:

• Strongly prefer candidates with a minimum of 1 year recent acute care hospital OR RN experience.
• Hold active BLS and ACLS certifications; Meditech experience is highly preferred.
• Possess prior charge nurse and precepting experience for priority consideration.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a flexible, easy-going personality.
• Possess Colorado or state-specific RN licensure.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a high-paced environment.
