Mechanical Engineer

Lead Mechanical Engineer opportunity with our client in the satellite communications and aerospace technology industry .
1+ year contract with strong likelihood for extensionsOnsite in Germantown, MD Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end hardware development from concept through production and field deployment
- Own mechanical design, analysis, verification, and qualification testing
- Partner with electrical, RF, manufacturing, and certification teams
- Drive DFM/DFA initiatives and support production ramp-up activities
- 6+ years of mechanical or electromechanical product development experience
- Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.)
- Experience with FEA, CFD, thermal analysis, and structural design
- Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and manufacturing processes
- Background in aerospace, avionics, satellite communications, RF hardware, or other high-reliability systems preferred
