Senior Civil Estimator - New Braunfels Your New Role
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for leading the estimating process across a range of heavy civil projects, typically including highways, bridges, roadworks, drainage, and earthworks. You will:

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for leading the estimating process across a range of heavy civil projects, typically including highways, bridges, roadworks, drainage, and earthworks. You will:
- Lead end-to-end estimating efforts on complex infrastructure bids
- Review drawings, specifications, and contractual documentation to build accurate cost models
- Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and pricing
- Develop competitive and strategic bid submissions and proposals
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and evaluate pricing
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
- Collaborate closely with operations and project teams to align estimates with delivery strategy
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions
- Support and mentor junior estimating staff where required
- 7+ years' experience in heavy civil construction estimating
- Strong background working on DOT / infrastructure projects (highways, bridges, or similar)
- Proven ability to manage large, complex bids independently
- Experience with estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid or similar
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and cost drivers
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Experience working with TxDOT projects and standards
- Exposure to design-build or alternative delivery models
- Previous experience within a tier 1 contractor or large regional contractor
- Leadership or mentoring experience
