Responsibilities

Administers articulation, voice rhythm, hearing, and language examinations; conducts diagnostic evaluations of a variety of speech and/or hearing examinations; makes recommendations for the development of special therapy programs to improve communication skills of patients; organizes and conducts group and individual therapeutic sessions utilizing a variety of speech and/or hearing equipment; prepares and maintains testing, evaluation, and progress records for participants in the speech and hearing therapy program; prepares written reports of patients receiving treatments; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; performs related duties as required.

Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in audiology from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama or completion of a master's degree in audiology (prior to January 1, 2007) as an audiologist, certificate of Clinical Competence in audiology and licensure with the state of Alabama in audiology.
