Hospital Pharmacist - Pollock, Louisiana

An immediate opening is available for a hospital pharmacist at a well-established 200+ bed community hospital in Pollock, LA. This 13-week contract position offers a dynamic and engaging environment where you will play a critical role in patient care and medication management.
Responsibilities include:
Verifying medication orders accurately and efficiently
Supervising pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
Providing expert consultation to physicians and nurses regarding medication therapy
Applying pharmacokinetics knowledge to optimize patient treatment plans
Utilizing EPIC and Pyxis systems for medication management and documentation
The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with varying and rotating hours that may include 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, or 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM shifts. Expect to work every other weekend, allowing for balanced work-life integration.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Louisiana pharmacist license
Current hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis pharmacy systems is a plus
