PipelayerWW Clyde is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to help build projects in Texas.Responsibilities:Lay-out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systemsKnowledge of piping systems, wastewater systems, storm drain, and other fixturesKnowledge of system operation and study of building plans or working drawingsSelects type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specificationsInspects worksite to determine presence of obstructions and ensure no safety issues exist that would cause structural weaknessPlans sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other construction workersCuts pipe, using hacksaw, pipe cutters, hammer and chisel, cutting torch, and pipe cutting machineThreads pipe using threading machineBends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending machineAssembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipe and pipe fittings, including those made of brass, copper, lead, glass, and plasticJoins piping by means of threaded, calked, wiped, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented jointsSecures pipes to structure with clamps, brackets, and hangers, using hand toolsTests piping system for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaksOther duties as assignedRequirements:Workers must be able to coordinate the movements eyes, hands, and fingers; use hands, arms, and fingers fullyClimb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffoldingStoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as requiredAbility to push/pull/lift at least 20 poundWhy Work for WW Clyde?Competitive Compensation & Benefits: Health, dental, vision, life insurance, 6% 401(k) match, profit sharing, paid holidays, and PTO.Performance-Based Bonus: Rewarding your dedication and project success.Career Development: Ongoing training, mentorship, and clear advancement paths.Stable, Respected Employer: Join a century-strong leader in heavy civil construction.*As part of our hiring process, all candidates are subject to a comprehensive background check.
