Experienced Operating Room RN – Ophthalmology experience required (Cataracts, Glaucoma, Ocular Plastics)

Location: Hartford Hospital Eye Surgery Center: 505 Willard Ave. Newington, CT 06111

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7am – 4:30pm. 
No call, weekends or Holidays.

We are a fast paced, progressive Surgery Center that specializes in Cataract, Glaucoma, Corneal Transplant and Ocular Plastic Surgeries for adult patients.

Position summary:
Provides nursing care in accordance with the objectives, policies, procedures and protocols of the hospital and AORN, ASPAN standards. Participates in patient teaching; incorporates the needs and behavior of the patient’s specific age/cultural groups in planning and providing care. Participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications:
•  Current CT RN License
•  CNOR recommended
•  BLS (AHA) required
•  Excellent interpersonal skills
•  Independent problem solving skills
•  Excellent communications skills
