Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP) Benefits Competitive salary, generous medical/dental/vision plan, and dollar for dollar 401(a) match up to 3% Up to $250 in your first year toward a unique Lifestyle Spending Account, matched retirement starting day one, and a dependent care matching plan $1500 annual continuing education support and a robust tuition reimbursement plan Paid time off benefits with an accrual rate of 10.77% in your first year of employment Access to mental health, financial health, wellness, and life coaching through the Employee Assistance Program Free nutrition consultations and discounted fitness membership at Western Colorado University Fieldhouse Deep discounts on food and drink in the cafeteria No traffic and a scenic commute to the office Requirements Education: Master’s Degree from an approved program of Speech/Language Pathology Experience: Minimum 2 years of clinical training with a variety of client populations Licenses/Certification: Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence as outlined by ASHA and maintenance of CPR or BLS Skills: Ability to take proper history and use evaluation methods in accordance with established guidelines Document prognosis, including predicted optimal level of improvement and amount of time needed to reach that level Develop treatment programs in collaboration with patients/caregivers as appropriate Comfortable treating pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients Responsibilities Designing individualized treatment programs to achieve short‑ and long‑term goals, in collaboration with the patient or caregiver Demonstrating awareness of the patient’s status by making program changes in response to changes in the patient or their environment Performing adult and geriatric dysphagia evaluations in accordance with ASHA practice standards Documenting prognosis, including predicted optimal level of improvement; short‑term goals are clear, measurable, functional, and time‑specific; long‑term goals are clear, measurable, functional, and time‑specific Compensation $39.25/hr – $58.88/hr, depending on experience Physical Requirements Occasionally (0‑33 %)—reclining, reaching, reaching across midline, crouching/squatting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, jumping, stair/ramp use, lifting/lowering (25‑50 lbs), carrying (25‑50 lbs), pushing/pulling (25‑50 lbs) Frequently (34‑66 %)—standing, walking, sitting, changing position Continuously (37‑100 %)—see with corrective eyewear, hear clearly with assistance Schedule & Status Shift – Day Schedule – 30 hours weekly with flexible scheduling and opportunity to increase to 40 hours weekly when volumes support Status – Full Time #J-18808-Ljbffr Gunnison Valley Health
