Job Description

Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and two years of Public Health Nursing experience; OR Master's in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; OR graduation from a school of professional nursing and three years of professional nursing experience including two years of Public Health nursing experience. A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and an appropriate driver's license valid in the State of N.C. is also required. All health department employees (with the exception of individuals with an accommodation or medical exemption) are required to get an annual flu shot vaccine as part of condition of employment.

Signing and Retention Bonus: A non-refundable signing bonus in the amount of $3,750 will be paid in the selected applicant's first paycheck following employment and execution of the Employment Signing and Retention Bonus Agreement. A retention bonus in the amount of $3,750 will be paid in the selected applicant's next paycheck following the completion of 12 full months of employment in the same position with the County following the date of payment of the signing bonus.
