Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med Surg/Telemetry night shift position requiring a Compact or CO RN license and Epic charting experience.

Details

• Work in the Med Surg 3 unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
• May be required to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license, Compact or CO, required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required and must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, and/or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit or service
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the specialty required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Date of birth and last four digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing practice standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, including ongoing collection and assessment of health data
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy directly to patients or through consultation, delegation, and supervision
• Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, documenting in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
