Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Utilization Review Nurse to join our team at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville, New York. In this role you will play a critical role in reviewing patient care plans and ensuring that medical services are provided in a cost-effective and clinically appropriate manner.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient care plans to ensure that medical services are provided in a cost-effective and clinically appropriate manner
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet the needs of patients
- Analyze patient data and medical records to identify trends and patterns that may impact patient outcomes
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure that patient care plans are understood and implemented
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to improve patient care and reduce costs
- Stay up-to-date on the latest clinical guidelines and standards to ensure that patient care plans are evidence-based
- Must be prepared to work some weekend hours
Requirements:
- Previous experience in Utilization Review including knowledge of utilization review principles, practices and tools.
- AAS Nursing required. BSN preferred.
- Current RN license in the state of New York
- 2 years clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- BLS and ACLS
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
