Travel RN - Mother Baby - Post Partum

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Postpartum/Antepartum position at a hospital Women's Tower unit in Austin, TX, requiring BLS and a TX or compact RN license. Qualifications Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start) Current NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) card from the American Academy of Pediatrics required for all RNs in Women\'s Services Minimum 1 year of recent Postpartum RN experience required US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration One professional reference required No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months Responsibilities Work is performed in the Postpartum/Antepartum unit located in the Women\'s Tower of a hospital setting in Austin, TX 24-bed unit staffed with a charge nurse, 4 RNs, and a unit clerk during the day; no PCTs at night Patient ratios are 3:1 to 4:1, with occasional 2:1 depending on acuity Procedures performed include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips EMR systems used are Meditech and CPN Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Rotating weekend shifts required No on-call requirements Previous L&D or antepartum experience is preferred Navy blue scrubs required Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible Teamwork-oriented attitude and strong communication skills are a strong fit for this unit Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
