Respite NurseThe role of a Respite Nurse is to offer one-on-one time between a child and licensed nurse within the family's home or community. Respite care is designed to give families a break from the day-to-day care involved in raising a child with special healthcare needs. Child Serve's respite service allows parents to attend events for their other children, schedule appointments for themselves, or simply take time to recharge.SchedulePrimarily afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Can be regularly scheduled or as needed.How You'll Make an ImpactProvide one-on-one nursing support in the home or communityInteract with the child and participate in fun activitiesComplete electronic documentation and paper MARSPossible skills used: medication administration, g-tube nutrition, seizure management, trach cares, etc.What You'll NeedCurrent valid license as a RN or LPN in Iowa.Valid driver's license with two or fewer violations in the past three yearsActive BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading, writing and speaking the English language.Not sure if you hit 100% of the position expectations?
