If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out.This posting covers Quality Technician opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Petoskey in Emmet County, within about 45 minutes of the city, including Harbor Springs, Boyne City, Charlevoix, and East Jordan.The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across the Petoskey area seeking Quality Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.Usual ResponsibilitiesSupport root cause analysis for defects and customer complaints.Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and test equipment.Assist with internal audits and prepare quality reports.Communicate quality issues to production and engineering teams.Inspect incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products against specifications.Record inspection results and maintain quality documentation and logs.Perform dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Flag nonconforming parts and route them through the hold process.Recommended QualificationsAttention to detail and accurate record keeping.Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.High school diploma or equivalent.Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.Familiarity with measurement tools and inspection methods.Bonus QualificationsKnowledge of statistical process control and root cause tools.Certification in quality inspection or auditing.Experience with coordinate measuring machines or vision systems.Associate degree in a technical field.Experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality systems.Job Titles That Should ApplyQuality Assurance Technician, Inspection Technician, Quality Auditor, Manufacturing Quality Technician, Quality Analyst, Test Technician, First Article Inspector, Quality Control Inspector, Quality Inspector, Quality Control TechnicianWork AuthorizationApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
