Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed to educating patients about their oral hygiene and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
• Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth.
• Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments and assessments.
• Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
• Monitor vital signs as needed during patient visits to ensure safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, especially for pediatric patients.
Qualifications
• Valid dental hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
• Experience with medical coding and familiarity with medical records management is preferred.
• Proficiency in taking medical imaging and understanding its application in patient assessment.
• Previous experience in dental assisting is a plus, particularly in a pediatric setting.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.

Pay

$60~$65 per hour

Salary Details
Im willing to do daily rate or hourly.

Requirements

• Licensed dental hygienist

Job Description

Currently seeking part-time, but open to full time. Preferably Tuesday - Wednesday. Patient care hours are from 8am - 5pm. The last appointment is at 4pm.
