Rehabilitation Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Nurse to join our team. Our facility offers specialized programs for individuals recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions requiring inpatient rehabilitative services. The goal is to help patients achieve their highest level of recovery and return home as soon as possible. The inpatient rehabilitation unit may have high acuity patients and operates similarly to a medical-surgical unit. Nurses are required to assist Certified Nursing Assistants and respond to call lights for patient safety. The work environment includes mandatory 30-minute breaks unless approved by the supervisor. Staff must clock out for breaks and are entitled to two 15-minute paid breaks during a 12-hour shift. Staff are not permitted to stay past their shift end time unless approved. The unit has 49 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:7. Equipment includes mobility aids, vital machines, EKG machines, blood glucose monitoring devices, and computers for charting. The electronic health record system used is EPIC. The patient population consists of adults requiring inpatient rehabilitation services with high acuity needs.
