Program Coordinator, Build Up Idaho

Join the College of Western Idaho as the Build Up Idaho (BUI) Program Coordinator and help inspire the next generation of skilled trades professionals. In this part-time, grant-funded role (19.5 hours per week), you'll coordinate outreach events, recruitment activities, and partnerships that promote CWI's Electrical, HVAC, and Plumbing programs. Working closely with schools, employers, and community organizations, you'll organize events, support marketing efforts, build relationships, and track program success to expand awareness of career and technical education opportunities throughout the region. This position is part-time (19.5 hours per week) and grant-funded, and continued employment is contingent upon ongoing grant funding. Why Join CWI? Essential Functions: Coordinate Outreach & Recruitment Plan and coordinate recruitment events, career fairs, workshops, and community outreach activities that promote the Build Up Idaho initiative and CWI Trades programs. Serve as a primary point of contact for students, school districts, employers, and community partners regarding program participation and outreach opportunities. Coordinate participation from internal departments and external partners to ensure successful events and engagement activities. Support Marketing & Community Engagement Assist with marketing and communications through social media, email campaigns, promotional materials, presentations, and event announcements. Represent Build Up Idaho and CWI Trades programs at community events, schools, and recruitment activities to increase program awareness and enrollment. Build and maintain positive relationships with education, industry, and community partners. Manage Program Operations & Data Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, registrations, materials, vendor communication, and on-site support. Maintain outreach calendars, participant records, contact lists, and program documentation. Collect participation data, outreach metrics, and event feedback to support grant reporting and program evaluation. Identify opportunities to improve outreach processes, participant experiences, and event operations. Assist with reports, presentations, and other program communications that support departmental goals. Perform other related duties that contribute to the success of the Build Up Idaho initiative. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience. Two years of related experience, such as coordinating events, managing logistics, supporting outreach activities, or providing program or administrative support. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, to support outreach events and community engagement activities. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with marketing tools, social media platforms, and CRM systems. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and community partners. Physical Demands : Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment. The position requires occasional travel to outreach and community events and may require standing for extended periods, light lifting of event materials, and working occasional evenings and weekends.
