Postdoctoral Research Associate - Developmental Neurobiology

Postdoctoral Research Associate – Department of Developmental Neurobiology A Postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Yuuta Imoto at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The Imoto lab uses super‑resolution microscopy and electron microscopy to investigate rapid synaptic organelle dynamics during neurotransmission. In this role you will design and conduct experiments aimed at identifying molecular mechanisms by which endocytic structures remove damaged proteins in human physiology and neurodegenerative disorders. Qualifications A PhD in cell biology, neuroscience, or a related discipline. Ability to independently design and execute experiments and interpret data. Expertise in at least one of the following areas. A strong record of contributions to peer‑reviewed research publications. Familiarity with programming languages such as MATLAB and Python, and the ability to work with large imaging datasets. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare high‑quality manuscripts for publication.
