As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact professionally with visitors and staff, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, guests, staff, and/or vendors at a cultural institution by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of exhibit areas, public spaces, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor visitor activity and access points, help to deter unauthorized entry, and support the protection of cultural property and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete required daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
