Job Title: Dental Assistant

Location: Tyrer Dental Care / Jonesboro, AR

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will assist dentists in providing high-quality dental care, ensure patient comfort, and manage administrative tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures
• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, including handing instruments and suctioning
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certificate preferred
• Current certification in CPR/BLS
• Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
• Familiarity with dental software and digital charting is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in chairside assisting for general dentistry
• Comfortable with digital radiography and sterilization protocols
• Excellent patient care and education skills
