Culinary Employment Coordinator - Soundview Full Time Allie's Place, Bronx, NY, US Salary: $50,000.00 Annually We are excited to invite a passionate and dedicated Culinary Employment Coordinator to join our team! Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is searching for an experienced Culinary Employment Coordinator for our Families w/ Children facility in the Soundview area of the Bronx. As the Employment Coordinator, you will support graduates of Allie’s Place Culinary Program by helping them overcome employment barriers and successfully enter or re‑enter the workforce. Homes for the Homeless operates shelters for families experiencing homelessness in NYC. Our family residences are more than just a place to sleep. Families can make the most of their stay through accessing an array of onsite programs. Many of these programs are also available to people living in the local community. Our goal is to have a positive impact so families can thrive long after they leave our shelters.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Facilitate job readiness workshops and employment training sessions. Create a supportive environment that promotes workforce readiness and career success. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized employment service plans. Conduct employability assessments to identify clients’ strengths, needs, and barriers to employment. Provide individualized employment guidance to help clients achieve their career goals. Conduct outreach to employers and community partners to promote program services and expand employment opportunities. Research and distribute job leads and referrals to unemployed graduates. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience working with individuals and groups who have multiple barriers to employment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Local applicants encouraged to apply!
