Responsibilities

• Arrives prepared with full awareness of cover counts, guest details, and special notes, and communicates this to the team ahead of service
• Acts as the primary liaison between guests and staff, ensuring smooth communication that elevates the dining experience
• Sets up the front desk and carries out opening/closing duties as directed by management
• Oversees the reservation system and handles all guest communications, including voicemails and correspondence
• Maintains thorough knowledge of our restaurant and offerings to address guest questions with ease
• Identifies VIP and industry guests and ensures FOH, BOH, and management are informed
• Welcomes arriving guests, escorts them to their tables, and communicates any preferences or special requests to the team
• Cultivates genuine guest relationships that encourage repeat visits and private event inquiries
• Proactively flags potential service issues to management before they escalate
• Collaborates with FOH managers to optimize table turns and accommodate walk-ins to maximize covers
• Keeps the host station clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as a Lead Host or Maitre D in a high-volume, casual fine dining environment
• At least 2 years of experience with reservation management platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent floor presence
• Empathetic, collaborative, highly organized, and detail-oriented
• Solution-focused, adaptable, and receptive to feedback
• Genuine passion for food, wine, and hospitality
• Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and extended shifts as needed
• Demonstrated history of reliability, ongoing development, and consistently meeting role expectations

Physical Demands

This role requires standing for 4 to 8 hours per shift and frequent lifting up to 25 pounds, with intermittent bending and movement throughout. Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($25.00 - $30.00)
