Athletic Trainer

Athletic Trainer Job in South Riding, Virginia Chiron Physical Therapy is hiring for an athletic trainer job in South Riding, Virginia, and we're looking for someone who genuinely cares about helping athletes and active community members get back to what they love doing. We currently support the athletes of five local high schools as well as our very active surrounding community, all out of a 3,700 square foot facility built for dynamic, functional training that helps patients return to sport and their everyday activities faster. A Team That Learns Together We hold team meetings every week for case reviews and skills development, because we believe exceptional patient care starts with an exceptional team. Whether you're an experienced athletic trainer or a license-eligible new graduate with energy and a desire to learn, you'll have a supportive, collaborative environment where clinicians continue developing their skills and learning from one another instead of being left to figure things out alone. We also put real weight behind continuing education and skill development, and we encourage clinicians who want to keep growing in their craft. As we bring in new technology and treatment approaches, we look for team members who are curious about getting better at what they do, not just clocking in and out. If you enjoy being part of a collaborative team and want a clinical director who's invested in your development, you'll fit right in here. We'd rather build clinicians for the long term than churn through new hires, so you can expect real mentorship and honest feedback along the way, not just a checklist of tasks to get through each day. Working With High School Athletes and an Active Community Between our high school sports coverage and the community members who train with us, you'll be working with a wide range of ages and activity levels, from teenage athletes working their way back onto the field to adults returning to the activities that matter to them. Our facility was designed specifically to support that kind of dynamic, functional training, so you'll have the space and equipment to treat athletes the way they actually move, not just from a table. You'll spend your days helping real people get back to the activities they love, backed by a team that built its whole facility around getting patients moving again. We take the time to give patients real education and clear discharge guidance, and we expect the same level of care and attention from everyone on our team. It's the kind of place where the work feels personal, because for the student athletes and families we treat, it is. Whether someone is coming back from a sports injury or working to stay active as they get older, they're getting the same focused, hands‑on approach, and that consistency is something our patients notice and come back for. Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 per year Qualifications: VA Licensed Athletic Trainer or License Eligible New Graduate Responsibilities: Administer manual exercises, massage, and modalities to help relieve pain and increase patient strength Ensure proper documentation of patient interaction to support compliance and prompt reimbursement from third‑party payers Maintain a positive level of interaction with patients, including education and discharge information Perform any other duties as needed and/or requested by the Clinical Director Skills: Energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to learn Team-oriented, outgoing personality Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) 3% match 401(k) matching Continuing education credits Dental insurance Disability insurance Flexible schedule Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Retirement plan Vision insurance If you're the kind of athletic trainer who wants weekly case reviews instead of being left on your own, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be joining a team that treats the high school athletes and lifelong community members of South Riding with the same level of attention and care.
