We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join a high-volume, growing restaurant concept in Columbus, OH generating approximately $6 million in annual revenue .

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a hospitality professional who thrives in a busy environment, understands elevated food and beverage operations, and can help lead a strong BOH team while driving overall restaurant performance.

The concept offers elevated comfort food designed to appeal to a sophisticated customer base seeking a strong alternative to traditional upscale dining.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in overseeing high-volume daily restaurant operations .
• Lead and develop FOH and BOH teams while maintaining strong communication and accountability.
• Help manage and develop an experienced 8–10 person BOH team .
• Maintain high standards for food quality, service, hospitality, cleanliness, and consistency.
• Drive operational execution in a restaurant generating approximately $6M in annual revenue .
• Coach managers and team members to improve performance and develop future leaders.
• Monitor labor, food cost, inventory, and other key operating metrics.
• Work closely with culinary leadership to maintain quality and encourage menu and operational creativity .
• Resolve guest and employee concerns professionally and proactively.
• Help create a strong culture centered on hospitality, teamwork, and accountability.
• Support leadership initiatives as the organization prepares for additional locations and continued growth .

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven AGM, Assistant General Manager, General Manager, or comparable senior restaurant leadership experience .
• Strong background in upscale casual, elevated casual, high-volume full-service, or chef-driven restaurant concepts .
• Experience managing restaurants with significant annual sales volume; $5M+ experience strongly preferred .
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop FOH and BOH teams .
• Strong operational knowledge across labor, food cost, service, inventory, and guest experience.
• Creative, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to contribute ideas and improve operations.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proven ability to develop managers and hourly employees.
• Passion for hospitality, elevated food, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
• Willingness to support future expansion and take on greater leadership responsibility.
