Respiration Therapist
Join our expert healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), where you will provide essential respiratory care to patients in various clinical settings. Your role will involve performing diagnostic procedures, operating respiratory equipment, delivering therapeutic treatments, and supporting patients with respiratory illnesses under the guidance of a physician.
Required Certifications:
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (preferred).
Education Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Associate's degree.
- Degree Type: Associate of Science in Respiratory Therapy or its equivalent.
- Field of Study: Respiratory Therapy or related discipline.
Core Responsibilities:
- Patient Management : Administer respiratory care including assessments, treatments, and education for patients experiencing respiratory issues.
- Therapeutic Interventions : Deliver therapeutic services like mechanical ventilation, nebulizer treatments, and oxygen therapy to patients of varying ages.
- Diagnostic Assessments : Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function assessments and blood gas analysis to assist with patient diagnoses.
- Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations.
- Collaborative Care : Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for respiratory patients.
- Continuous Learning : Pursue ongoing education to stay current on the latest practices and innovations in respiratory care.
