Data Reporting & UAT Analyst

We are seeking a Data Reporting & UAT Analyst to review design documents, extract/validate data, build comprehensive test scenarios, translate business requirements into dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Key Details

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (requires ~1 day/week on-site, plus initial in-person equipment pickup; parking is not provided).
Location: Richmond, VA
Interview Process: Either Webcam or In-Person

Key Responsibilities

Review design documents, identify requirement gaps, map data, and build user acceptance testing (UAT) scenarios.
Extract and validate complex data using SQL (Teradata environment) for scheduled and ad-hoc operational/analytical reports.
Build data visualizations and interactive dashboards for stakeholders.
Facilitate JAD sessions and act as the primary technical contact with external data warehouse vendors.
Track and resolve pre- and post-go-live production issues end-to-end.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Healthcare Domain Experience: 5+ years of experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or major health systems (eligibility, enrollment, claims, or policy implementation).
Requirements & JAD Sessions: 5+ years experience gathering business requirements, leading JAD sessions, writing technical specifications, and managing requirements traceability.
SQL & Data Warehousing: 5+ years of recent, advanced SQL writing experience with relational databases and data warehouse systems (preferably Teradata/BTEQ).
Data Testing & QA: 5+ years experience developing test data, executing UAT test scenarios, and validating data pipelines.
BI & Dashboarding: 5+ years experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Hands-on experience with Teradata SQL Assistant, BTEQ scripting, and query tuning.
Familiarity with quantitative analysis tools and statistical techniques (e.g., SAS, predictive modeling).
Knowledge of state and federal Medicaid policy and regulatory reporting frameworks.
