Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager responsible for the daily administration and management of the food safety and quality programs at Tasteful Selections and West Plant facilities. What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Sciences, or related Agricultural field of study.
• Must be knowledgeable in food processing equipment as well as food quality/safety/sanitation systems and programs.
• Knowledge and work experience with Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), Good Agriculture Practices (GAP), National Organic Program (NOP)and Food Safety Modernization Act FSMA
• Must have an excellent record in the areas of safety, attendance, performance, and discipline
• Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills with ability to prioritize work, and meet deadlines
• Excellent leadership, communication, training, and team building skills, statistical, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels, ability to effective respond to the concerns of managers at all levels of the organization.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel; general knowledge of relevant computer programs
• Must be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously requiring communication and interaction with employees at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills English.
• Team oriented problem solver, who takes ownership of work
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures on a regular basis (hot and cold)
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the year as needed, must have the ability to travel when needed to various Grimmway facilities.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV driving record.
• Must pass pre-placement drug/alcohol screen, physical and functional capacity evaluation.

What Will Set You Apart:

• 4+ years’ experience in food safety or quality assurance function in a produce farm environment
• Experience with food production.

Benefits:

Total Rewards: $80,000 - $100,000 / Yearly

• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
