Mail Assistant

About the Position Plans, implements, and administers all aspects of the cost control program, classified functions, records maintenance, and disposition actions for the Official Mail program. Compiles, and maintains daily statistics on activity expenditures by category, including mail class, permits, express mail, and UPS. Enforces Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Army regulations and organizational policies that pertain to the installation's Official Mail services. Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the employment authority categories and possess the following experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Processing incoming and outgoing mail Performing postal operations, including operating mail metering systems and equipment Providing guidance and assistance to organizations on proper mailing procedures Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
