At KPMG, we believe nothing is more important than investing in our culture because it is an investment in our people, our future, and what we stand for as a firm.KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Trade and Customs practice.Responsibilities:Provide advice to clients in a variety of industries on import and export mattersResearch U.S. and international import and export trade mattersExplore, write, and review international trade adviceFormulate ideas and deliver possible trade savings opportunitiesAid in the development and training of team membersAssist in the delivery of multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and satisfactionAct with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environmentQualifications:Minimum three years of recent import/export experience in the field of trade and customs as a customs attorney, customs broker, U.S. Customs auditor, or import specialist, which will include experience in The Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs federal regulations, NAFTA, entry processes, valuation, and informed compliance methodsBachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and/or Masters in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college/university; LCB or other relevant trade certification preferredExperience with Microsoft Office applications including Access, Excel, and moreDemonstrated project management experience including effective interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to travel both domestically and internationallyApplicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future; KPMG LLP will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity (no sponsorship is available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, CPT or any other employment-based visa)KPMG LLP and its affiliates and subsidiaries (“KPMG”) complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges.
