Key Responsibilities

• Deliver age-specific, direct patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit setting
• Provide nursing care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with established Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards
• Assume leadership responsibilities, including appropriate delegation of work to other levels of staff
• Maintain compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Active ACLS certification prior to contract start date, or a booked course at time of Clinical Orientation
• Active BLS certification prior to contract start date, or a booked course at time of Clinical Orientation
• Active PALS or ENPC certification prior to contract start date, or a booked course at time of Clinical Orientation
• Experience in PACU or post-anesthesia care nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a leadership or charge nurse role
• Familiarity with specialty-specific standards of patient care in a surgical or perioperative environment
