Position Title: Emergency Response/Security OfficerOverview: The Emergency Response/ Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the overall safety and security of residents, associates, and their guests by ensuring that only authorized individuals enter the campus. Security Officers work hand in hand with the Health Services Team during emergency response situations. Reports to the Emergency Response/Security Supervisor.Shifts Available: Every Sat & Sun:11:00 PM- 7:00 AMEssential Job Functions:Provide quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and associates while maintaining the Rules of Engagement.Represent the Company through professional demeanor and attitude while maintaining The Village CORE values.Adheres to all company policies and procedures.Promptly greets all residents, guests, and associates at the main entrance and around campus.Monitor and manage entry to the community through our guest verification system BreezN in the Emergency Response Office.Monitors residents' individual Emergency Response System/ Personal Help Button in addition to campus wide surveillance cameras.Conduct routine patrols of the property, including common areas, parking lots, and facilities to deter suspicious activity.Conducts inspections of campus for safety issues such as roads for potholes, lighting outages on interior & exterior areas and other potential hazards.Respond promptly to emergency situations, such as medical incidents, security breaches, Code Purple or fire alarms, following established protocol.Conducts resident wellness checks by phone and in-person as needed.Performs investigation and documentation of incidents including reports of theft, accidents on campus, resident injuries, and unauthorized visitors on campus.Assists Human Resources department with employee terminations as requested.Assist Transitions department with new move-ins and move-outs with parking.Attend departmental education and all required in-service training/education.Maintain confidentiality of resident, family, associate, and facility information in accordance with HIPPA regulations.Conduct Fire Watch when necessary.Collaborate with on-site management and department staff to ensure a safe environment when needed.Complete an ERO shift report at the end of shift.Perform any other duties as required.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Prior Security experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.CPR, AED & First Aid Certified eligible.Class D security license preferred.Benefits:Career advancementCompetitive salariesComprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, life and disability insurancePaid Time Off, Company Paid Holidays, 401K plan with matching contributions, and moreAssociate recognition programs, referral bonuses, tuition reimbursement and associate scholarships*Part-time positions may not be eligible for certain benefits.About Us: The Village at Gainesville is the 4th largest rental senior living property in the United States and was recently recognized and ranked #1 on Fortune's Best Workplaces' in Aging Services for small and medium sized senior living employers in 2024!
