Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2+ years of pediatric CVICU experience and PALS certification.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed pediatric cardiac ICU with a 12-bed overflow unit
• Cares for patients with congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD
• Patient population ranges from neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult CHD patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU overflow patients
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA required)
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac patients across a range of acuity levels
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from facility
• Candidates should discuss potential contract extensions with their manager at least 45 days before the assignment end date
