Job Overview Electrician – Housing‑Facilities Administration – Raleigh, NC. Salary range $56,000 to $64,000. Work schedule: Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm, occasional overtime. Responsibilities Construct, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in residence halls, apartments, and fraternity/sorority houses. Provide expedient maintenance services to students residing in campus housing. Climb ladders, lift and set heavy equipment, pull heavy rolls of wire, and perform other physically demanding tasks. Read and work from blueprints and sketches. Locate and correct defects in electrical systems and equipment. Train apprentices in the electrical trade. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency, or demonstrated possession of necessary competencies. Considerable knowledge of the standard practices and methods of the electrical trade. Skill in the use and care of trade tools. Ability to locate and correct defects in electrical systems and equipment. Ability to read and work from blueprints and sketches. Ability to train apprentices in the electrical trade. Required Licenses & Certifications Valid driver’s license (NC) within 60 days of hire. Commercial driver’s license not required.
