A day-to-day substitute teacher is an individual who is employed on a temporary basis for fewer than 45 consecutive days in the same assignment. Job Requirements Current National Fingerprint-Based BCI Check. A day-to-day substitute must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, hold an associate’s degree, have completed a minimum of two years of college as part of a four-year degree track, or hold a RIDE teaching certificate. Bachelor degree preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
