Position Overview

This role involves supporting patients in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and requires skilled, compassionate professionals capable of handling critical care situations with expertise.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, at least every other weekend
• Floating Requirement: Yes, based on skill sets and unit needs
• On-Call Requirement: No

Important Note

Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment as travel between units and facilities may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  
  
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • CCRN (preferred)
• Experience Required:
  
  
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ICU setting
  • Charge experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Epic charting system required

Special Skills

Candidates should possess skills in the following areas:

• Management of patients with acute kidney injury
• Blood product administration
• Care of ventilated patients
• Central line care and management
• Management of dysrhythmias
• Ventilator management
• ECMO and CRRT operation
• Administration of emergency medications

Unit Details

• Patient Age Groups: Adults
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2
• Daily Census: Approximately 24 patients
• Available Beds: 36

Interdisciplinary Support

The unit collaborates with various specialized teams including:

• IV Teams
• Physical Therapy
• Respiratory Services
• Social Services
• Pharmacy

Location

This position may require travel to various facilities including locations in Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, and Seaside, OR.

Work Expectations

• Commitment to working 3 out of 5 major holidays is required
• Flexibility to accept scheduling changes or additional shifts as needed
