Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant

Position Overview:
Keys Animal ER at Cruz Animal Hospital is seeking a caring and dependable Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll work alongside our veterinarians and experienced technicians to provide high-quality care to our patients and excellent service to our clients. Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Prepare patients and equipment for surgery or diagnostic testing.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Perform basic lab work such as running bloodwork, fecals, and urinalysis.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately during restraint, exams, and procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked treatment areas.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients about their pet’s care.
• Support the overall flow of the hospital to ensure efficient patient care.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic (technician or assistant role).
• Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
• Familiarity with common veterinary terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment.
• Positive, dependable, and compassionate attitude.

Schedule:
Full-time daytime position, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends.
