Staff Nurse (R.N.)Canyon Creek Behavioral Health is a 102-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Central Texas town of Temple, Texas. Canyon Creek features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs. The Staff Nurse (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who prescribes, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices.Job Duties:Prioritize and formulate a plan of care based on patient assessment and according to policy.Document and reassess any significant changes in the patient's condition in compliance with facility policy.Provide education to patients and families based on their identified needs and limitations, such as, communication, interpersonal, and social skills as well as basic principles of physical health.About Universal Health ServicesOne of the nation's largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, Universal Health Services, Inc. Successful completion of Handle with Care training and Service Excellence Training within 30 days of employment.
