Quality Technician - 1st shift

Overview The Quality Technician I/II/III facilitates the parts quality process throughout the organization, ensuring precision and inspection of parts moving into the facility. The role supports Quality Management Systems, drives data collection, reporting and analysis, and partners with leaders in daily operations to improve quality systems, processes, and performance. Schedule & Pay Schedule: Monday–Thursday 5:00AM – 3:30PM Pay: Quality Technician I: $23.00/hour Quality Technician II: $25.50/hour Quality Technician III: $27.00/hour Responsibilities (All Levels) Lead problem solving for quality issues. Implement resolutions from basic to complex problems. Implement process improvements. Lead team adherence to Quality Control Plans and mistake‑proofing. Conduct process and product audits. Conduct standardized problem‑solving and corrective actions. Support gage/tool calibration and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R). Participate in MRB review and corrective actions. Adhere to company policies and state/federal regulations. Requirements LevelI Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: 0–3years in quality. Problem Solving: Basic. Leadership: Supports team communication and metrics. Technical Knowledge: Basic drawing, wiring, schematic interpretation; intermediate PC skills. LevelII Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent. Experience: 3+years in quality. Problem Solving: Moderate. Leadership: Leads team communication on quality metrics and project countermeasures; can train others. Technical Knowledge: Intermediate knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Quality Control Plans, mistake‑proofing, NMR, ECR, SPC, ISO processes; CMM programming knowledge. LevelIII Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: 5+years in quality or Certified Quality Technician preferred. Problem Solving: Advanced, including cross‑functional issues. Leadership: Leads multiple teams or departments; mentors and trains others. Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of all QC tools, ISO systems, and process improvement methodologies; design audits and complex corrective actions. Additional Skills (All Levels) Maintain professional rapport with peers and support groups. Communicate issues and countermeasures to Supervisor. Perform reading, writing, and math functions. Commitment to continuous learning and quality standards. Physical Demands The employee regularly talks, hears, and uses hands to manipulate objects or controls. Regular standing and walking are required. Occasional stooping, bending, or reaching above the shoulders; lifting up to 25–50pounds.
