Senior Cloud Engineer IS - Hybrid
Cloud Service Engineers work in partnership with developers, testers, and
program managers, (typically early in the development process) to design,
operate, grow, and improve large-scale, cloud-based services offered to IS and
non IS caregivers. Their technical skills are on par with their Development,
Test, and Program Management counterparts.
Essential Skills:
* Senior level experience designing, engineering, operating, and administering
Microsoft Azure (IaaS and PaaS) solutions, including monitoring, alerting,
troubleshooting, and optimization.
* Extensive experience in configuring and managing Azure networking components,
including VNets, subnets, private endpoints, ExpressRoute.
* Hands-on experience implementing, managing, and enforcing Azure Policy in
complex enterprise environments.
* Demonstrated experience in deploying and managing cloud infrastructure (IaC)
using Terraform and Azure CLI tools. Proficient in scripting with common
automation frameworks to develop and maintain a comprehensive runbook
library.
* Proficient in building and troubleshooting servers in both VMware and Hyper-V
environments.
* Hands on experience of managing and troubleshooting enterprise server
operating systems.
* Expertise in securing and supporting hybrid environments subject to
compliance and regulatory requirements (PHI/PII).
* Ability to support an on call rotation and respond to production incidents
outside normal business hours.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create
technical presentations/documents. Basic project management.
* Can communicate effectively with groups of teams and lead technical
conversations.

Required qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics,
Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of related experience
- Good experience leveraging data and metrics to drive behavior, process, and
priority decisions. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Experience in problem solving using systematic procedures and investigating
problems utilizing root cause analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in a Healthcare environment.
- Creating and managing server images with Packer.
- Experienced with configuring Desired State Configuration (DSC) using AWX.
- Knowledge of implementing security controls such as CIS and NIST.
- Experienced with Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.
