Quality Control Lead

Role Description The Quality Control Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, TN. This role is responsible for overseeing daily quality inspections of plated and finished components, ensuring products meet internal standards and customer specifications. The role is alao responsible for identifying defects, investigating & resolving quality issues, and implementing procedures to ensure our finished products meet customer specifications and internal expectations. This role’s hours are 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a morning break & lunch break. Benefits & vacation time available after one year. Compensation: Hourly Pay.

• Oversee quality control throughout the electroplating and finishing processes, inspecting incoming materials, work-in-process components, and finished products.
• Identify plating defects and quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor quality trends and recurring defects to improve consistency, reduce rework, and increase production efficiency.
• Investigate customer complaints and collaborate with internal teams to resolve concerns and prevent recurrence.
• Develop, document, and refine written quality control procedures for plating, polishing, surface preparation, and finishing operations.
• Establish and maintain inspection criteria, quality standards, and testing protocols to ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, corrective actions, and quality performance.
• Maintain quality documentation and support customer rejects, audits, and quality reviews as needed.
• Lead and support quality control team members on factory floor.
• Collaborate with production managers, supervisors, and technicians to address quality concerns and improve processes.
• Train and guide employees on quality standards, inspection procedures, and defect identification.
• Support interviewing, onboarding, and employee development, providing guidance through performance challenges and setting clear expectations

The ideal candidate has a minimum background of 3 years in manufacturing with an emphasis on quality control, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work directly with production teams.
