Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients within the ICU, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, and operate ICU-specific equipment including IV pumps and cardiac monitors.
• Respond promptly to rapid response calls and code situations, supporting emergency interventions.
• Document patient progress and treatment updates accurately in EPIC electronic medical records.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, respiratory therapists, and nursing staff.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Registered Nurse license and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Have at least 1 year of ICU experience, preferably in a critical care setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC EMR system and ICU monitoring equipment.
• Hold current PALS and TNCC certifications (preferred).
• Be able to meet unit-specific requirements, including appropriate scrubs and professional appearance.
• Valid driver's license and residence outside 50 miles from the facility.
