Inspector

This role performs incoming product inspections to ensure that all incoming products and sub-assemblies meet established company and customer quality standards. The inspector uses precision measuring tools and visual inspection techniques to verify compliance and supports quality control activities within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of incoming products to verify they meet specified quality and customer requirements.
• Inspect sub-assemblies for SPP on a daily basis to ensure they comply with defined standards and specifications.
• Visually inspect flasks and plates each day to confirm they meet quality, safety, and compliance criteria.
• Process product lots in Acumatica on a daily basis, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability of inspection results.
• Prepare and perform in-line audits and lot checks daily to monitor ongoing production quality and identify nonconformances.
• Complete detailed inspection reports as needed, documenting findings, delays, and any issues discovered during inspection.
• Communicate inspection results and quality concerns clearly to supervisors and relevant team members.
• Carry out other quality-related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support overall production and quality objectives.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify product dimensions.
• Ability to perform accurate visual inspections to identify defects, inconsistencies, or nonconforming parts.
• Experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, including basic understanding of inspection processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings to confirm product specifications.
• Competence using Acumatica or similar systems to process and track product lots and inspection data.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when recording measurements and completing inspection reports.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and work effectively in a loud manufacturing environment.
• Manufacturing work experience with some quality control experience preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in inspection or quality-related roles.
• Familiarity with in-line audits and lot checking processes.
• Comfort working with both domestic and international shipments in a warehouse or production setting.
• Willingness to learn and cross-train in additional tasks and processes within the department.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and supervisor instructions accurately.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
